The "Bailey Birds" are birds that share their lives with our volunteers. These birds are not for adoption but do go out on our Outreach Programs. These are programs that we conduct when we visit schools, nursing homes, assisted living centers, hospitals, bird shows, and public & private functions. If you are planning a function and would like the "Bailey Birds" to attend, please contact us.

Scoot

Hatched:1/7/2000
Sex:Male
Species:Blue & Gold Macaw

Scoot is a very outgoing and fun loving bird. He loves to be the center of attention and when he is not he lets you know he is the main attraction and not anyone or anything else. When he decides to talk, his vocabulary is extensive. Scoot has been going out to entertain and educate people since he was 6 months old. Scoot came to us when he was five weeks old. He had no exposure to other birds until he was eight months old, therefore, he believes himself to be a person and not a bird which makes for some very interesting times.

Chili

Hatched:1/24/2000
Sex:Male
Species:Greenwing Macaw

Chili is a very mellow and laid back individual. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. Chili is also very large and heavy. When people hold him, they cannot believe how heavy he is. Because of his size, he is also somewhat of a bully. He uses his size to push the other birds around. Chili is best friends with Milagro.

Milagro

Hatched:4/4/2000
Sex:Male
Species:Scarlet Macaw

Milagro is extremely colorful. He is very vain, especially when it comes to his long tail feathers. He is also a worry-wart. If one of the other birds leaves his sight he starts to scream to sound the alarm. He is very loving and enjoys cuddling.

Maggie May

Hatched:8/12/2003
Sex:Female
Species:Military Macaw

Maggie May is a rescue that came to us in March of 2004. She loves attention and loves to stand on her perch flapping her wings all day. She enjoys talking to people and playing with her toys. She enjoyed being around people and our other macaws so much that we decided to add her to our flock.
